H-D has announced the 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114. The Street Bob, with its mini-ape handlebar, mid-mount controls and bobber-style fenders, has become a fan favorite among those looking for a minimalist American V-twin to customize. This year, the Street Bob will be packing more of a punch, thanks to the larger, torque-rich Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. Pricing starts at $14,999.

The big news this year is the Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine, claimed to produce a stump-pulling 119 ft-lb of torque at a mere 3000 rpm. As one of the lightest bikes in Harley-Davidson’s Softail lineup, weighing a claimed 659 pounds wet, the increased performance won’t go unnoticed. Harley says that Street Bob 114 has a 9% quicker 0-60 mph time and is 13% faster from 60-80 mph in fifth gear than the outgoing Street Bob 107. A 2-into-2 shotgun exhaust is sure to let out a healthy rumble, while the Ventilator air cleaner proudly displays the 114 badging.

Helping keep that all-American torque pointed in the right direction is the Softail chassis that utilizes a modern monoshock design while still retaining the classic hardtail frame look. A non-adjustable Showa Dual bending valve fork with gaiters and a preload-adjustable single shock handles suspension duties.

When it comes to styling, Harley hasn’t upset the carefully balanced bare-bones approach that has made the Street Bob visually and financially appealing since 2006. Chopped fenders, a mini-ape handlebar and a svelte 3.5-gallon fuel tank give the Bob a lean-and-mean edge. Meanwhile, the black wire-spoke wheels and blacked-out engine kick up the visual drama. Also included is an LED headlight, a USB charging port, keyless ignition, security system and an inset LCD instrument panel. New for this year is a standard passenger seat and pegs — the Street Bob is no longer a solo machine.

Pricing for the 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114 begins at $14,999 for Vivid Black; add $400 for Baja Orange, Deadwood Green and Stone Washed White Pearl. All feature the classic Harley-Davidson “Number one” logo on the fuel tank.
